Saint-Ouen is too big to conquer, which is precisely its charm. Each passage has a personality: museum-level furniture here, records and Americana there, then a cabinet full of objects no sensible person could identify at first glance.
Choose curiosity over coverage. Two or three sections explored properly will give you more than racing through the entire map, and the strangest room will probably become your favourite.
FIELD NOTE
Pick a few markets inside the complex before you arrive. Photograph labels as well as objects so you remember what you saw.
