Noordermarkt mixes the edible and collectible beautifully. Heirloom tomatoes and armfuls of flowers sit near vintage clothing, painted ceramics and tables that look like a Dutch cupboard emptied into the sunshine.

Nothing needs to be rushed. Buy something delicious, make one slow circuit and let the canal-side neighbourhood do half the work of the market.
